Avalanche has been creating stylish and functional products for our outdoor inspired friends since 1987.

Headquartered in historic Salem, Massachusetts, Avalanche is a family owned and operated outdoor apparel company. Ron founded Avalanche in 1987, and we quickly grew into a 500+ person sewing facility. Ron still heads up Avalanche, working closely with the talented team and his children, Ron Jr. and Talia, to create and manufacture some of the highest quality and affordable outer- and active-wear garments in the market today. Our passionate and skilled team and our commitment to customer satisfaction have earned us a reputation for quality and value in the outdoor apparel market. Our fabrics are the highest quality, sourced from the best mills in the industry. In 2008, Avalanche launched a dedicated effort to become Eco-friendly. We now utilize recycled fleece,organic cotton, and fabrics that offer UV ray protection.

We are dedicated to creating and manufacturing high-quality products that combine style with technical excellence for outdoor enthusiasts while providing 100% customer satisfaction.

The Avalanche design and technical team is responsible for creating the Avalanche look and quality. Harnessing their enthusiasm and experience from outdoor adventures, the team — headed by Talia — collaborates on color, fabric, and budget specifications as they create styles and patterns for seasonal trends. Developing ideas are illustrated using high-tech design software. They source and select fabric, trim, embellishments, and fastenings. The team supervises the fitting, detailing, and adaptations of first samples, then oversees the production of each piece. The resulting products reflect Avalanche’s technical and creative excellence.
